Done! And ready for your viewing and knitting pleasure. Double Bubble sock.
During my class at Spring Fling Cookie A. challenged us to think of a picture/thing and design a sock to fit that picture. Hmm..interesting.
My design ideas usually stem from some type of problem I’d like to solve. Shawl That Jazz – no butt arrows and no holes down the middle. Theorem – show off multi colored yarn and be unisex. Twisted Road Cowl – fit inside my jacket and be shaped to keep my neck and upper chest warm. Etc..
I’m always up for trying something new though. I grabbed my newly purchased yarn and stared at it for a minute. Pink, soft, squishy, a bit like gum..
Hey wait a sec this colorway is even called Bubble Gum. Oh man, it looks just like the color of Double Bubble gum when I was a kid. Ding, ding, ding we have a winner!
Rows of puffy pink round gum balls for your feet!
I went to four shops looking for Double Bubble gum to take pictures with, but no luck. Hubby found Double Bubble-America's Original Bubble Gum, 360t Bucket" target=_blank>Double Bubble-America's Original Bubble Gum, 360t Bucket" target=_blank>it on Amazon for me but after momentary excitement I decided it probably wasn’t smart to spend $13.45 plus shipping on gum for a photo shoot when I don’t even like gum.
The always amazing and helpful Irishgirlie found some though.
Her sock matches the wrappers better anyway.
