The last two weeks flew by almost as fast as the kids opening presents Christmas morning. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and some time to enjoy it.
There’s no way I can cover all the merriment (otherwise known as total chaos) and let’s face it, it’s not riveting info unless you’re related to me (okay probably not even then). So let me give you the cliff notes version with a whole lot of photos.
We baked. A lot. Then we baked some more. Molasses, chocolate peppermint, sugar and snowball cookies, plus fudge, caramels, magic bars, cranberry vanilla bean cheesecake, espresso gingerbread cake, and truffles to be exact.
There was a Christmas Eve party with food, friends, presents to exchange, and of course Todd’s homemade eggnog.
Christmas Day we relaxed, opened presents, played games, ate way to many sweets and Nana and Papa came to visit.
We visited the puppies again (only pics of the three girls today). They are learning to walk and are just about the cutest things you have ever seen. Only 5 weeks until one of them comes home with us.
Mac turned 10 yesterday! We had birthday waffles, opened even more Lego and spent the day doing exactly what Mac wanted (i.e. playing Munchkins and video games). For once we got smart and scheduled his party for another day (it’s tomorrow) so we could relax and enjoy the day as a family.
And today it snowed!
Was that enough photos for ya?
